Detroit was 4-0 in the 2008 preseason and 0-16 in the regular season so you can't read anything into what happens in preseason. 90% of the time both the offenses and defenses are throwing out their vanilla packages so they don't give the rest of the league film on what they're actually going to be doing. The way you win the preseason is if most of your players make it out without injury.

As for my Niners, 2-2 in preseason with 2 blowouts against the Rams and sucky ass Texans.. Offense is getting better and I know Kap will have a great year. WR/TE core is going to be a beast this season.. bet u..
defense is gonna be a HUGE question mark. No Bowman and our secondary looks very suspect.
But i still see them going 13-3 and winning the NFC West and going to the Super Bowl.. hopefully NOT against Denver.. (sorry Soldier)

And I know preseason is meaningless, but having watched the games I have hope based on certain aspects. We have a couple of good young players who are going to turn heads.
Also, the Jets always take the annual preseason romp between the two of us super seriously, and kept their starters in for three quarters. We won.
And we beat New England ever year.

Preseason or not, that shows Bridgewater has a bright future. Even if Cassel is starting week 1.
Also, anyone else notice how much the media loves Manziel? Despite that the other two first round QBs (Bortles, and Bridgewater) have played better than him so far. It's so irritating how much ESPN and the NFL love this guy. For what? He comes off as a douchebag. Like when he flipped off the Redskin's sideline. What an unsportsmanlike-jackass Manziel is.

Bridgewater will be fine because he has a running threat that the league is terrified of. Definitely affects the defensive play calling. He did look decent though.
What Manziel brings to Cleveland is more than his play. I have a lot of Browns fan friends and I told them a year ago that thhey needed to draft him, because he brings attention to the team. He gets people excited and talking, and makes other good players want to be around him. He will be fine. It's not his fault that Cleveland is a shitty team, and it will take more than just a QB to make it work.
As for the Giants... it really isn't Eli. Everyone always jumps on Eli, but if you watch the games, the poor guy never has a chance. Last year and this preseason other than the last two games, the offensive line looked like hot, sweaty ass. Dude has like two seconds to chuck and duck before he gets creamed. I'd throw a lot of picks that way too, ya know? When the o-line gets situated they'll be a good team again. The running backs look good, the receivers are good, the defense and special teams are good enough. We are lacking any sort of TE and a line that works together.

No way is San Fran winning 13 games. Not with Bowman being out all year and now Smith being out 9 games. Their defense is going to have some issues. Seattle is a much better team overall. Their offense is improving and their defense is still the class of the league. The Rams always play the Niners tough and that defense will win them some games. And I wouldn't count out the Cards who were a quiet 10 win team last year. Niners are definitely a play off team but 12 wins is their ceiling.

Honestly, I am thrilled he's gone. I truly am.
While I will admit that he is a good receiver and an excellent weapon on the field I despised him the second he was drafted because I truly hate showboats and that's exactly what he is. A showboat with a shitty attitude.
It's actually fascinating that he does and says some of the things he does, and then he goes out and does so much for the community, especially with youth. While I believe his heart is in the right place his head surely isn't.
Maybe that's due to the people he surrounds himself with or it;s just because of who he is but either way, I am glad he is no longer on the Eagles and I look forward to seeing how frustrated Skins fans get in the next few seasons, and I know quite a few Skins fans living where I do.
