A chance to say hello from England - David Stone - 11-04-2016

Hello there people, if this gets read at all.

Just to say my name is James, aged 30, no job and plenty of hobbies. Now why would a 30-year-old from the middle of England have no job I hear you ask? Simple answer is that no one wants to employ a blind man with no work experience. So I live on state welfare, play the ukulele and do other stuff to pass the time. Rant over.

Now onto what I'm sure you want to know, more stuff about me the person, my love of wrestling and other such misilanious rubbish. I've been a wrestling fan since in my early teens and have always had an instinct to write. So, when I found myself playing an online text based wrestling game in 2005 I decided to give this e-fedding thing a go. Needless to say I loved it, stuck with one fed for years and that's where David Stone was created. Oh, before I go any further, don't expect any fancy colours or tricks from me to illustrate my writing. I can't see it, don't have a need for it and don't use it. If you do, then that is cool. I guess it helps sometimes, but for me it's all about the words.

So how can a blind man use a computer you ask? Simple, I've been able to touch type since I was 5 and have some software on my computer called a screen reader. I think that about covers everything, but if you want to know more then feel free to ask.

Thanks again for reading,

James.

welcome aboard, glad to have you.

That is mighty fucking impressive, friend. I second Dolly's welcome. Layouts and colors can be a nice compliment, but words are what it is all about... to me, 100%. Best of luck here.

Thanks all. I haven't actually done much writing in the last 2 years, but hopefully I won't disappoint. Big Grin

Does the machine just read every word on the screen to you?

If so it might benefit you to hide signatures and things like that where possible.

I'm excited, I think you guys will have a blast.

A chance to say hello from England - David Stone - 11-04-2016

Yeah, it does, but signatures have never really been an issue for me. I was a moderator and administrator for a while in my last fed so I'm pretty well used to it. I'll be posting my first roleplay as a joint effort with Marc for our match if that's ok. We plan on 1 joint as a basic intro and then the rest as individual works once we have more of a feel for what we're up against.

If you need a signature banner let me know

Did them for chaos and nostalgia.

I doubt lane would have an issue w that

A chance to say hello from England - David Stone - 11-04-2016

Thanks but i have an old one for now that Marc did for me back in our other fed which I plan on using for now. I thank you for the offer though and I'm sure your stuff is epic, but so is his and I'm extremely loyal to my friends. Smile

I'm just excited I can see.

Welcome fren.

A chance to say hello from England - David Stone - 11-05-2016

Thanks again everyone for the welcome. Wow I never realised that a small rant about my life could earn such a response. Haha, seriously though, other than the blindness thing you'll find I'm a pretty normal guy really. I do what I do and enjoy it. I've even been fortunate enough to make some good friends through rping and the net so as I said, any questions about how I do things or whatever then feel free to ask. If you don't ask, then you'll never learn is one of my mottows in life. Big Grin

Hello fellow Englishman and welcome!

A chance to say hello from England - Ronnie Cage - 11-05-2016

Suck my dick, Stoney!

Just kidding. I just figured I'd say hi too. I'm Marc. I met James on the online wrestling game, he showed me the ropes, and then introduced me to efedding. I'm a few years younger than him, not blind, and not English. Just Canadian. But we've been doing this for a while now, and he's a great friend.

I love hockey, music (especially lesser known independent bands) and long walks on the beach.

Thanks for welcoming us, I think we're going to have a nice time here, until we kick all of your asses and you start to hate us HAH! Kidding, kind of.

Anyway, yeah, thanks and hi!

A chance to say hello from England - David Stone - 11-05-2016

Oh hush Marc! Go eat some Poutine or something will you instead of hijacking my thread. Big Grin

Despite what I just said, Marc's always been like a little brother to me and that's despite him being a Toronto Maple leafs fan as well. So I hope buddy, that you don't find the above comment too disrespectful.
