I'm sure this mostly pertains to only me, but maybe I'm not alone.

First, I'm not trying to pin my political beliefs on anyone in the fed, but since ejection night I've been genuinely out of sync in terms of my dealings with the fed.

I just feel at a loss... Almost spiritually even.

Every time I sit down to write, I find my mind wondering through the halls of old anxieties, and so I do deeply apologize for my lack of substance lately.

I was a Bernie Sanders delegate from Kentucky, and worked hard and with passion to make that man our next president of the United States. He wasn't the perfect candidate, but was honest and channeled his populist message with compassion rather than hatred.

We tried warning the old yellow dog dems that Hillary was a poor candidate, but they wanted nothing from us; we were merely holding up the coronation of thier corrupt savior. We were mysognist niave nuisances in thier eyes...

I watched as a fellow delegate was spit on by a Hillary delegate at the DNC in Philly.
All along we knew she couldn't win and that neoliberalism was going to drag the former "party of the people" down to a irrecoverable state.

Now that's happened, and now the local party wants to be inclusive. I received a call from the local party wanting me to consider running for State House of Representatives as a democratic primary challenger to one of our former governors, Julian Carroll, an 85 year old "liberal" who believes that homosexuality is evil...

They said: "we know you can't win, but we know the party had to change and we need youthful progressive voices like yours to start shifting the party back to the left"

Why should I be the sacrificial lamb for thier fucking mistakes?!?

Ughhh

Either way I'm sorry if I've been a bit off the last week...

Some words of wisdom or advice would be helpful, if not I at least appreciate the freedom to rant here.

That's all...

If you ever run for office, make sure you're never traced to using this site. You'll be labeled a neo nazi for sure. Just a friendly, bi-partisan tip.

Eh, I think I'll let them wallow in thier own shit.

Ahem. Getting back on topic. It's a brave thing to be a deligate for anyone in the world of politics. But you did the right thing at the time. No one can say you didn't. As for being a sacrificial lamb, I understand your point, however I look at it more as being a guineapig because you're the first in a new generation of young democrats. But having said that, I wouldn't run for office if my life depended on it. I studied politics at university and that world just isn't for me either here in the UK or especially not in the states.

They said Trump couldn't win either.

Whoever said the only way to change things was by winning?

Disjointed - R A D I C A L - 11-17-2016

I think it was Bill Russell

Nah man. America is in trouble. This is a perfect time for new voices. Even if you don't win, maybe try again next time. People will remember you.

Disjointed - Dolly Waters - 11-17-2016

Thanks man... I'm still considering it, hell we basically have Donald Trump for governor, and our state house turned red for the first time in 95 years. Kentucky is screwed

Disjointed - Snow - 11-17-2016

I don't know much 'bout politics, but I know I like Trump fer legalizing Mary Jane and stealing Vince McMahon's catchphrase. And I HATE Hillary Clinton for being a hyrpocrite, goin' 'round sayin' she'd never stoop to slingin' shit at The Don, yet turnin' around and doin' just that at the drop of a hat. Not to mention the fact she stole Linda McMahon's look. Politics is fucked either way ya look at it, Dem or Rep, but when you gotta vote, ya gotta choose the lesser of two idiots. BAM! XD
