Vita, A Word Please - Atara Raven - 01-28-2020

Backstage, standing outside of a locker room door notably marked -Vita Frickin Valenteen- was possibly one of the last people expected to be there. To be honest, Atara had to find a considerable amount courage to even consider being there herself. Partly because she was alone and Vita had tried to drown her some days prior and also because Atara was here to do something she had little experience in.

Apologizing.

To her recollection, Atara had never denied there was some truth in what people said and thought of her. The genetic lottery, or however the Engineer puts it, had rolled in her favor and it was put to good use whenever deemed necessary. Sometimes....most times, when it came to being held accountable, she could deflect or assume innocence with a simple change in tone or expression. In this instance, as everyone knows, the blame was squarely on her shoulders.

And on her lips...and in her hand.

Point being, Atara rarely had to say sorry and more scarce was her desire to do so. Except now. Now she wanted to say sorry and instead of sending it through text or Twitter the only sincere way to do it was in person.....but not face to face.

Bracing her feet at the bottom of both sides of the door frame, Atara grasped the door handle with one hand and pulled back with the entirety of her 130lb frame.

Confident Vita-zilla couldn't open the door, Atara knocked with her free hand and then held on for dear life.

"Vita! It's Atara! Can we talk? Civily!"

Vita walks up behind her with her hands on her chemically enhanced hips, trying her damnedest to look as intimidating as possible.

"What do you want?"

Vita, A Word Please - Noah Jackson - 01-28-2020

Noah takes a seat in the corner with some popcorn. He's not even trying to be sneaky about it.

Awesome. Vita's voice came from Atara's side of the door, and behind her. Embarrassed and unnerved, Atara felt her cheeks flush but tried to salvage the situation all the same.

Giving the door handle a jiggle, Atara faced Vita mustering a sheepish smile,
"Um, I think your doors stuck, but um...yeah I was..."

Atara refused eye contact and not because of the power pose, the right words weren't exactly easy to find in this moment.

"...I was, I came...look, I just wanted to sorry. For everything," Atara caught sight of Noah from her peripheral and immediately went tight lipped. Clinching teeth, her jaw visibly pulsed with agitation.

"It wasn't personal...even though I went into..a personal space. I have the utmost respect for you as a competitor Vita. You're one of the reasons I am even here..it was a title match. I'm hoping you can understand how crazy a person can get when they have a chance at gold."

"That all this was, all of it. Just a cheap tactic to get under you guys skin. I would very much like to rebuild whatever bridge I burned down because you where right. I do need friends here...and I kinda would like the cold sore comments to stop..."

Atara quickly interjected by holding up a finger, "But mainly I want to rebuild the bridge...I promise!"

Vita thinks back to when she challenged Noah for the TV title and how she was willing to do so despite the fact that it could have caused some serious issues with their relationship. Vita can empathize with acting out of character when there's a shot a gold.

Vita glances at Noah as he tossing a handful of popcorn at his mouth. I say at because most of it rolls down his chest to the floor.

Vita looks back at Atara who's potentially awaiting a response.

"Fine!!"

"I guess I can't fault you for doing and saying whatever it took to gain the advantage…"

"BUT!!"

"Pull that crap again and there won't be a third chance!!"
