Backstory/Important Character Details:
Former structural engineer whose career was destroyed when a building he designed suffered a partial collapse due to a critical flaw in his calculations. Though no one was seriously injured, the professional disgrace, lawsuits, and loss of his engineering license drove him to wrestling at age 28. Now approaches every match with obsessive precision, desperate to prove he can build something that won't fail. Wrestling represents his second chance at creating something perfect and lasting. Carries a leather portfolio containing detailed "blueprints" of his opponents and match strategies.

Strengths:
- Exceptional match preparation and opponent study
- Technical wrestling expertise and submission knowledge
- Psychological warfare through calculated mind games
- Incredible focus and determination
- Ability to adapt and counter opponents' strategies mid-match

Weaknesses:
- Obsessive need for control can lead to overthinking
- Past failure haunts him, affecting confidence in crucial moments
- Condescending attitude alienates potential allies
- Can become too methodical, missing opportunities for quick victories
- Paranoid about making mistakes, sometimes hesitates at critical moments

Entrance Theme Music:
"Time" by Hans Zimmer (Inception Soundtrack)
YouTube Link:

Ring Entrance:
The arena lights dim as the haunting opening notes of "Time" by Hans Zimmer begin to echo through the venue. Marcus "The Architect" Blackwood emerges from the curtain, carrying his signature leather portfolio under his left arm, wire-rimmed glasses reflecting the arena lights. He pauses at the top of the ramp, adjusting his glasses as he surveys the arena like an engineer inspecting a construction site.

Marcus walks to the ring with measured, deliberate steps, occasionally glancing at his silver watch. At ringside, he carefully places his portfolio on the ring steps, removes his glasses and folds them precisely, then slides under the bottom rope. Once inside, he moves to the center of the ring, checks his watch one final time, and removes his dress shirt to reveal his wrestling gear underneath. He folds the shirt with the same precision he removes his glasses, then retreats to his corner where he begins his final mental calculations, touching his temple nervously as the music fades.

In-Ring Style:
Technical/Submission Specialist with methodical pacing. Focuses on systematic breakdown of opponents through targeted limb work and psychological pressure.

10 or More Standard Moves:
1. European uppercut (precisely targeted)
2. Dragon screw leg whip
3. Single leg takedown
4. Knee trembler to opponent's leg
5. Arm drag counter
6. Drop toe hold
7. Standing figure-four leglock
8. Hammerlock slam
9. Vertical suplex (held for extended time)
10. Scoop slam (positioned for maximum impact)
11. Knee drop to targeted limb
12. Russian leg sweep
13. Arm wringer into short-arm clothesline
14. Hip toss counter
15. Basic submission holds (Boston crab, sleeper, etc.)

Trademark Move Name(s):
1. "Precision Calculation"

Description(s):
1. Precision Calculation: European uppercut delivered at the exact moment opponent is off-balance, timed to perfection for maximum impact

Finishing Move Name(s):
"Structural Collapse"

Description(s):
A package piledriver that Marcus sets up methodically after working on the opponent's midsection and back throughout the match. He traps both arms (symbolically "binding" the structure), lifts them into position with deliberate precision, pauses for a moment of "final calculation" while the crowd anticipates, then drives them straight down with devastating force. The pause creates drama while the visual represents the complete structural failure of his opponent.

Favorite Hardcore Attacks/Spots:
- Uses steel chairs like blueprints, carefully measuring distance before strikes
- Systematically dismantles announce tables piece by piece rather than breaking them dramatically
- Targets specific body parts with weapons rather than random violence
- Uses his portfolio as a weapon (loaded with metal ruler/T-square inside)
- Sets up elaborate weapon spots that require precise timing and positioning
- Never uses weapons impulsively - always calculated and purposeful

Additional Notes:

ALWAYS Does:
- Checks his watch obsessively during matches and entrances
- Studies opponents extensively before matches (references notes during TV segments)
- Touches his temple when stressed or when plans go wrong
- Speaks in architectural metaphors during promos
- Removes glasses with the same precise folding motion every time
- Takes time to "calculate" before executing big moves
- Shows respect for technical wrestling and proper form

NEVER Does:
- Rushes into situations without planning
- Uses high-risk aerial moves (too unpredictable)
- Fights dirty or cheats (completely goes against his "structural integrity" philosophy and would psychologically confirm his worst fears about being a failure)
- Abandons a methodical approach even when losing
- Shows disrespect for wrestling as an art form
- Admits to being wrong about his building collapse (maintains it was a scapegoat situation)
- Lets go of his portfolio during segments (it's his security blanket)

Character Psychology Notes:
Marcus needs to prove he can build something that won't fail. Every victory validates his abilities; every loss confirms his worst fears about himself. This internal struggle drives all his actions and makes him compelling as both face and heel depending on how his obsessions manifest.
