Yeah, I was just trying to make the point that you can use character development roleplays that don't directly deal with wrestling as long as they further your gimmick. For example, if someone was writing for WWE's Bray Wyatt, they could write a roleplay dealing with the origin of his character/Sister Abigail and it would further the match by offering insight into why he's such an intriguing character. With Aidan Collins, I use him trying to impregnate 100 women this year as a way to highlight that he's a jackass that you want to see get beat up.

Of course, half my rps are pure shoot style where I just talk trash. I think it's imperative that you have a balance of story and trash talk. You want your character to be interesting but you also want to address the fact that they're a wrestler with a match later that week. Both shouldn't have to be in each work, but you should definitely have both at some point during the week.

I am not a fan of the style where a character acts one way in promos but then the writer writes a piece about the character's "personal life" and they act completely different. I also hate people who expect people to not address certain aspects of their promo. If it's in the promo, it's on TV, we can all see it.
