Backstory/Important Character Details: Maraeth, once known publicly as Yelena Gorgo, is a Moldovan-born combat athlete and performer whose rise through judo, combat sports, and ultimately professional wrestling has been marked by brilliance, brutality, and increasing unreality.

The daughter of the late wrestling legend Niels Gram (better known as Spiral) and sister to Nathan Gray (formerly known in-ring as Jack Moreau), Maraeth was born into the shadow of legacy and violence. A prodigy in martial arts, They earned a third dan black belt in judo and represented Moldova on the world stage. From 2017 to 2020, They medaled in three consecutive world tournaments—culminating in a gold medal performance in the -78kg class at the 2020 World Games.

What followed was transformation.

They did not “debut” in wrestling so much as arrive—first under the name Yelena Gorgo, then increasingly under the mask of something else. That mask, once theatrical, became doctrine.

Now, Maraeth wrestles as The Eater of Dreams. They do not break character because they do not believe it is one.

Their speech, behavior, and presentation suggest an intentional severance from the mortal persona of Gorgo. They refer to Themself only in plural. Their eyes are never quite natural. Their words often verge on cryptic—equal parts prophet and predator.

Whether this is an extreme artistic transformation, a coping mechanism, or something far more disturbing depends on who you ask.

What is certain is this: Maraeth is not pretending.

And They are not finished.

For a full accounting of Yelena's public information, please visit her Wikipedia page.

On Screen Persona: Maraeth as The Eater of Dreams and refers to themself as the plurals "we/us" in first person and "they/them" in third person. The Eater of Dreams is presented as a disturbing, otherworldly creature of unknown origin. The viewer is left to decide whether this is a realistic depiction of themself, an exaggerated gimmick for marketing, or somewhere in between.

Strengths:
Powerful. Maraeth possesses extraordinary strength and physical control, easily matching or surpassing opponents of any size or gender. Their body is a weapon engineered for impact.
Disciplined. Their preparation borders on obsession. Every opponent is dissected. Every angle considered. Nothing They do is accidental.
Relentless. Maraeth does not stop. They do not pause. They will keep coming until the bell rings—or the body breaks.

Weaknesses:
Egotistical. Maraeth makes no secret of Their belief that They are the greatest living wrestler—and, in Their words, “second only to the dead god who made Us.”

Unstable. While Their intelligence is unquestioned, Their psyche is volatile. Maraeth is known to abandon strategy in favor of spectacle, cruelty, or personal theater—often to Their own detriment.

Entrance Theme Music: Counting Bodies Like Sheep (The Gorgo Mix) by A Perfect Circle.

Ring Entrance (PLEASE write one out for use in match/show writing):

B L A C K.

The speakers erupt with distorted violins and a droning, percussive march—less music, more migraine. It gnaws at the eardrums, drawing out a wave of panic-screams and jeers from the crowd before the vocals even begin.

And then—
MARAETH’S voice splits the void:

"…NOW WE BECOME DEATH…"
"…THE DESTROYER OF WORLDS…"
♫ GO BACK TO SLEEP! ♫

CUT TO: THE STAGE.

A Perfect Circle’s Counting Bodies Like Sheep floods the arena, rhythm like blunt trauma—unyielding, brutal, hypnotic. Strobing white light bleeds through clouds of machine fog. Smoke billows like a fire waiting to engulf. A lone spotlight punches down, center stage.

♫ Don't fret precious, I'm here ♫
♫ Step away from the window
♫ And go… BACK TO SLEEP ♫

FROM BELOW—
MARAETH.

Their body rises through the haze like something that should not return. Painted in bruised purples and cosmic ash, Their form is muscular, elegant, and uncanny—what appears to be black ring gear clings to Them in jagged asymmetry, though murmurs persist that it’s body paint, applied with impossible precision. Their right side is overtaken by twisted, rootlike textures that resemble armor grown from inside Them. Their grin is too wide. Their eyes—unnatural, glowing—refuse to look away. And at the center of Their chest, nestled just above the sternum, sits a painted third eye, violet and closed. Watching. Or pretending to.

♫ COUNT BODIES LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ COUNTING BODIES LIKE SHEEP TO THE RHYTHM OF WAR DRUMS ♫

They descend the ramp like a puppet that chewed through its strings—shoulders twitching, head cocked, joints moving in gleefully incorrect directions. One step. A twitch. Another step. A sideways skip. Then laughter—sharp, sudden, wrong. It bursts from Their mouth like They didn’t mean to make it, then keeps coming anyway.

At ringside, They drop to Their belly and slither under the rope, dragging Themself across the mat with lazy fingers, like They’re bored of gravity. Reaching center, They rise to Their knees, then bend backward—slow, too far, too eager—until Their spine curves like a lie told one too many times.

Then They snap forward, mouth wide, throat open, and scream.

It isn’t pain. It isn’t rage.

It’s something older. Something delighted.

And as the echo hangs in the rafters, They giggle softly to Themself—grinning with that Spiral-shaped smile, like They know something you’re too scared to ask. The lights flash. The air clenches. And The bell hasn’t even rung.

In-Ring Style (Technician? High Flyer?):
Their body is theater. Their violence is scripture.

Maraeth blends catch wrestling, strong style, and judo with supernatural intent. Every movement is exact. Every transition defies expectation. They do not “chain wrestle.” They reshape the flow of reality through contact.

To fight Them is to lose your sense of time and self.

Trademark Move Name(s): FLOAT OVER NORTHERN LIGHT SUPLEXES

Trademark Move Name(s): IPPON (Judo Throws)

Description(s): Maraeth is a blackbelt in judo and uses hard throws and slams, both offensively and defensively. In judo, an ippon is a hard throw where the opponent is driven with force and speed to the mat. Examples: Kata Guruma, Harai Goshi, and Osoto Gari.

Trademark Move Name(s): SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX

Description(s): Maraeth executes a fast, brutal dragon suplex, dropping the opponent on their upper neck.

Finishing Move Name(s): DEATH CLUTCH (DESUKURATCHI デスクラッチ)

Description(s): Dragon Sleeper

Maraeth has three versions of this classic choke and neck crank for different situations.

With Body Scissors
This variant is useful against opponents significantly larger than Them. They lock the opponent in an inverted face lock, then from behind wrap Their legs around their waist and drag them down to the mat.

From the Camel Clutch
This variant is used against opponents around Their size, up to 240 lbs. With the opponent face down on the mat, They stomp straight on their spine. When the opponent flinches, They sit down on their back, pull their arms back over Their legs like a camel clutch, but then reach over their head and under their arm to lock in the dragon sleeper.

From the Surfboard
The most vicious version of this move is used against opponents under six feet. With the opponent on their stomach, They lock their lower legs around Theirs, then grab both their arms. They then fall backward, until the opponent is vertical on their knees. From there, rather than continue to the surfboard submission, They reach up and snake Their arm around their throat and under their arm, locking in the dragon sleeper.

Finishing Move Name(s): KICK DEMON (KIKKUDEMON キックデーモン)

Description(s): Mawashi Geri Roundhouse Kick
A kick that can come out of nowhere, this judo-style roundhouse kick is delivered to the side of the opponent’s face with the lower part of Their shin and top of the foot. They can land this stationary or after springboarding off the ropes or an object.

Favorite Hardcore Attacks/Spots: They don't have anything in particular that They favor, mostly because They prefer to get Their own hands dirty. Ultimately They will do anything anyone else will do—but go that extra unnecessary step to go beyond simply trying to hurt someone. They want to cause irreparable harm every time They attack someone—especially with a weapon.

Additional Notes (What are some things that they would ALWAYS do? Or would NEVER do?):
They will often be inappropriate during the match to unsettle opponents—using certain pinning positions or tactics to disorient and humiliate. With men, They will degrade and embarrass them if given the opportunity, emotionally and/or physically. This could be as simple as talking down to them and being condescending, or going so far as to physically assert Their power over weaker individuals. Also might use inappropriate pinning positions.

They would never want someone to interfere to help Them win a match. They will push the limit of the referee’s five count every time. They will use illegal attacks such as headbutts, small joint manipulation, and fishhooks.
