XWF camera feed on, we are in the Greg Jackson MMA Gym and we see Greg Jackson holding punching mitts and wearing pads over his thighs, and we see Kyle Morrison in his ring attire in a southpaw (left sided) stance throwing jabs with his left hand and hooks with his right at the mitts over and over
Greg Jackson: "1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, harder Kyle harder! 1, 2, 1, 2, that's it!"
Kyle Morrison: "Any harder, I might break your hands, Coach!"
Greg Jackson: "Nice joke, Kyle, now switch! 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2!"
Kyle switchs his feet over to an orthadox (right sided) stance and repeats the jab and hook combo, this time with a right jab and left hook
Greg Jackson: "Great speed, great speed! Now give me some kicks! 3, 4, 3, 4!"
Kyle does a right leg kick to Greg's thigh and then a quick one to the punching mitt and repeats the kick combo
Greg Jackson: "Switch 4, 3, 4, 3!"
Kyle switches back to southpaw and repeats the kick combo with his left foot
Greg Jackson: "1, 2, 3! 1, 2, 3!"
left jab, right hook, left leg kick
Greg Jackson: "Switch 2, 1, 4!"
switch to orthodox, left hook, right jab, right high kick
Greg Jackson: "Alright, good job, man, good job. Now grab you some water and next, we will do some sparring."
Kyle grins as sparring was his favorite part of the training session
XWF camera feed off
XWF camera feed on, it is 20 minutes later, we see Greg Jackson outside of the cage, and we see Kyle in the cage and standing across from him is his MMA sparring partner and fellow Greg Jackson trainee, Travis Browne.
Greg Jackson: "Ok, Travis, I want you to come at Kyle aggressive, this guy he is facing Monday is known for his aggression, and Kyle, I want you to match it but be smart about it, you know what to do! Ok, go!"
Travis Browne comes out quickly with his fists up prepared to strike, Kyle comes out and right away, shoots and grabs Browne in an underhook and Browne struggles to stay on his feet.
Greg Jackson: "Go for the takedown! Browne, fight it!"
Browne attempts to overpower Kyle by shifting his weight quickly and leaning forward, but Kyle leans to the side and uses Browne's momentum against him and side suplexs him to the ground
Greg Jackson: "THAT'S it, Kyle!"
Kyle quickly sprawls up and gets top position on Browne, and Browne grabs Kyle's arms attempting to get wrist control, but Kyle rips one of his hands out and hits Browne with a right hook around Browne's arms and hits him on the right side of the head. Browne tries to shield that side of his head but Kyle begins wailing with repeated rights and lefts and an occasional elbow to the ribs, before finally, he nails Browne in the face with a left elbow
Greg Jackson: "KYLE, KYLE! That's it!"
Kyle gets up and helps Browne to his feet
Travis Browne: "Damn, Kyle, I ain't that Steele guy bro, you trying to punch a hole through my arm?"
Kyle has a brief laugh as Browne was cheesing, joking around with his sparring partner. Browne, an up and coming heavyweight in the UFC, always enjoyed sparring with his hard-hitting teammate, as it helped him to learn what he needed to improve on as well. And with his next fight not until later this year, he could afford to play the role as Kyle's personal "punching bag" this week and help his partner prepare for his pro wrestling debut
Kyle Morrison: "You know me, Travis, go hard all day or go home."
Travis Browne: "My arms will remember that tomorrow, bro!"
Morrison and Browne tap gloves and walk out the cage and then each tap fists with Greg and the three walk over to the water cooler
Greg Jackson: "Hell of a session today, Kyle, hell of a session. This Steele guy isn't going to be ready for what your going to bring. He won't expect that speed. He won't expect that power. And he sure as hell would expect that technique. This work we've been doing, along with all the wrestling sessions you've been doing in the ring with Gonzalez and Shawn Michaels every week as well? I don't think I've ever seen you any better than you are right now."
Kyle Morrison: "Steele underestimates me, Coach. He thinks I'm just another guy. He thinks I don't stand a chance. And he doesn't like how I went about introducing myself. Way I see it, the guy needs to get over it. You don't want to get hit from behind, then you better be aware! If you don't stay aware in anything in life, especially in a fight or a fighting situation, your going to get hurt, and I took advantage of him being unaware. But come Monday, he will be fully aware, and he better be. Because I'm comin'. I'm comin' to show him that he's picking the wrong guy to fuck with if he thinks I'm just going to roll over or if he thinks I'm going down easy. He's going down. And he is going to go down hard."
Greg and Travis and Kyle all bump fists as the XWF camera feed ends
